Living, Loving -- Leaving

There are those questions that pursue me until I stop
       and stare
            and speak to them

They hide their answer.

I dance around them and strive to delve into their other side.

Then it happens... I am at the end of all I can do to find their answer.

I become very still, humble and transparent in a dried up pile of dead end thoughts

And it comes.... all that I really need to know.

Why I don't stay there I will never know.    I move on by choice or by some incomprehensible urge.

Here I go again!!!!!

Ponder Holy Ground

Part of your Lenten Path may take you to Holy Ground.  How will you recognize it?

Scripture tells us that Moses "got it" that he was on Holy Ground when he came upon a burning bush that was not consumed by the flames.  There was also a voice (once the bush got his attention) that said "Hey, dude, you are on Holy Ground.... take off your shoes,"

There may not be burning bushes in store for us, but I have been told this about Holy Ground:

You feel a bit (or more) of terror.  You know you can't go backwards.  You don't know how to move forward, but you know you must -- you can't simply stay where you are.

God's instructions at that moment may penetrate (and indeed saturate) your ability to plan or strategize.  Holy Ground moments may appear when (God knows!) you have diverted your focus from the one who is the authoritative guide for your journey.

So when you know you can't stay where you are, and going backwards is not an option, and something trembles within that draws you forward, consider the possibility that you may be standing on Holy Ground.  Take off those shoes.  Listen.  And then go on your way.

Enter here

Every once in a while something stirs within.
It could be something true asking to be known.
It could be false, needing to be exposed.

And maybe it is the gaseous presence of fantasy.

Give it a voice.  Allow it to take shape.

Fear not.  Free fall.
